The Fun2Go is a duo bike, a three-wheel tandem where the users sit side by side. One person steers, and both can pedal. Both riders have excellent visibility and can communicate easily with each other thanks to the side-by-side seating positions. Riders can get on the bike easily without having to step over a frame, and the seats can be quickly adjusted to the desired distance using a lever. The seats can also be rotated, making getting on even easier. The maneuverability of the Fun2Go side-by-side bike is exceptional — with two rear wheels and one front wheel, it can turn on its own axis.
Van Raam has been producing the duo bike for more than 20 years and has built several thousand Fun2Go bikes. Thanks to this experience, the bike has been completely optimized, and reputable organizations like Rabobank, De Zonnebloem, and the Van der Sar Foundation choose the Fun2Go.
On the Fun2Go, the driver and passenger pedal in the same gear using a shared 8-speed hub. It is optionally possible to choose a dual 8-speed hub. With this option, the driver and passenger can each choose their own gear independently.
With the optional switching hub, the main rider can control how the passenger pedals. This drive option is particularly useful for duo bikes used in therapy. The pedal assist mode can motivate people to move more, or you can disable the drive entirely if you don’t want the user to pedal. The switching hub has three modes:
Position A: With the 8-speed hub, the passenger and driver pedal in the same gear.
Position Off: With the freewheel hub, the passenger can pedal independently of the driver or keep their feet still on the pedals. The passenger has a complete freewheel and does not contribute to the bike's drive.
Position B: The passenger has a fixed gear in which they must pedal. This is called the fixed pedal mode.
Note: The switching hub may only be operated when the duo bike is stationary.
An electric motor/pedal assistance is an option that makes riding this modern duo bike truly “Fun2Go”. For safety reasons, the Fun2Go is limited to a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
If you choose the optional electric pedal assistance, it comes as a smart e-bike with a Silent smart display. On this display, you can find a lot of information about the battery and the bike. The Van Raam Silent electrical system includes a starting aid, giving you extra support when pulling away.
In addition, there are many other options to fully customize the Fun2Go to your needs. You can tailor the Fun2Go exactly to your preferences by adding extra features. For example, with a universal adapter on the back of the bike, you can add many handy options to carry a walker, wheelchair, or extra luggage. It is also possible to equip the duo bike with mountain gearing, making it easier to cycle uphill.
The Fun2Go is also optionally available with a reinforced frame. A single seat on the Fun2Go is suitable for persons weighing up to 180 kg. When two people sit on the Fun2Go, the bike can carry a total weight of up to 280 kg (distributed over both seats).
