The VeloPlus wheelchair transport bike is designed to transport people who remain seated in their own wheelchair. There is no need for a transfer between the wheelchair and the bike. Without any lifting aid or significant physical effort, the passenger is rolled onto the platform of the bike. The tilting ramp makes it easy to roll a manual wheelchair onto the wheelchair bike and secure it properly with the wheelchair locking system. With the optional winch system, this process becomes even easier. Instead of the rider pushing the wheelchair user and wheelchair onto or off the bike using their own strength, the electric winch takes over this task.
The wheelchair transport bike features a modern design with an oversized rear frame, excellent riding characteristics, and stable handling. The low position of the wheelchair on the bike makes boarding easier and results in a lower center of gravity. The wide-set and extra steering front wheels provide a shorter turning circle and additional stability. The VeloPlus is often used by institutions or care homes to transport various people.
